When one is making a local move, either in the same city, or to a neighboring city, they should consider the option of local or national movers. Of course national movers are larger, and therefore can charge less in pricing. But, if you want the best quality of work, and if it is a nearby move, using a local mover might be the better option. Especially if you ask for a lower price after calling a national mover, the local mover will be willing to negotiate with you, just so you choose them for services. You will also find that they are going to offer much better customer service, and that they will take much more care and attention with your move, which a large national company is not going to do. But, you do have to contact them early, and make sure they will be able to do the job, and that they can do it for a price that is reasonable, especially in comparisson to the national mover you had already called.
Of course both movers have their benefits. National movers have more personnel, can do the job quicker, and will likely be cheaper. But, you are going to give up the customer service, and the closer tie that you are going to have with the moving company you use. On the flip side, local companies are going to offer much better customer care and service, and they will take more time and attention when they are doing the move for you. However, due to the limited personnel and staff, they might need more time to do the job, and will likely be a bit more expensive than the national mover is going to be, when you are deciding on which company to choose for the moving job.Still bored?
