Moving is stressful for many reasons, and getting valuable items undamaged to the new location can be a primary concern. Properly packing though can take some of the worry away from an already stressful time.

Using the appropriate box can help prevent damaged items during shipment. There are different sized packing boxes, so there is no need to waste a large box on a few items. There are boxes called wardrobe boxes specifically for packing clothes. The clothes are hung on bars that are specially fitted into the box. Heavy corrugated boxes are designed for packing heavy dishes. Heavy items packed in lighter cardboard boxes can move around and break open the box during transport.
Individuals may have hired a moving company to pack and load, yet prefer to pack some of their more personal items themselves. Be sure to inventory and label each box. Properly labeled boxes make unpacking much more efficient. Individuals can use colored labels to designate each room, for example, green for kitchen, yellow for the bedroom and so forth.
